Questions Anyone?

Filed under: Desires — everfaith @ 6:30 pm

We humans are have questions.  And sometimes these questions need answering.  Now if you have ever felt like your head is about to explode because here on earth there is no answer, you know what I mean.

God wants us to be like him, and we are, but perhaps only in ways that don’t seem to matter.  We were made to look like him, but that is looking on the outside.  So how are we like God?

God always existed and always will, so when was he created? Wait, he wasn’t created! So how could he have always existed?

These are only two questions that constantly spin through my head.  But here is the fact: God isn’t ready for us to know yet.   Well, ok, so I’ll never know while I’m on this Earth. I can’t seem to think without being swated in the head with a fly swater.  I must know (swat).  Because humans have so many questions, we feel as though we’re climbing a mountain until we know.

For me, my mother, and others like me, these are simply things we cannot know.

Life and Fairy Tales

Filed under: Uncategorized — everfaith @ 7:27 pm

“There was once a rich man who lived with his wife and daughter… in honor of the prince and Cinderella.”

~Cinderella, Original Fairy Tales from the Brothers Grimm, Classic Edition

“Dorthy was a pretty little girl, always happy and gay… in the great dessert which guards the wonderful Land of Oz.”

~The Wizard of Oz, By L. Frank Baum, Adapted and Abridged by Mary Crushing and Dorthea Williams

These are only two of the fairy tales of the world.  There are Tens of thousands and every single one, has a happy ending.  They are written and re-written, and turned into movies, and if the movie was good there will no doubt be a book based on the movie.  Another book from which will emerge more creations and stories and soon a remake of the movie, not to mention all of the ‘Special Edition’ copies!

But Real Life is nothing like it is in the fairy tales!  There are no happy endings in life.  Wonderful things happen in life, but these aren’t endings.  Humans are mortal, and as a Christian I must except that.   There is only one happy ending, and one story.  ‘The End’ is coming, and it is also bringing Jesus, so beware non-believers, the time for change has come.

World(Not a Post, a Poem)

Our world is a happy world where everyone sings,

A happy world with a bell, that let’s out happiness when it rings.

Our world is a happy world with cakes and candy galore

Everyone is happy and no one has a sore.

This world is a good world with gas prices not high

When you go to the store, you’ll get a good buy.

In our world no one is Sad

There are no prisons, no people are bad.

And everything is nice and clean

No one is too fat or too lean.

Everyone washes their hands so there are no germs

Everybody likes the way they look so there are no perms.

All the infants smile and don’t cry at birth

That world sounds like a good world, but it’s sure not earth

A Garden of Life

Filed under: Fruit of the Spirit — everfaith @ 12:40 am

In Heaven God has a garden of life full of: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-Control. And here on earth we probably have gardens of: Apples, Grapes, Watermelons, Carrots, Corn, Strawberries, Peaches, Tomatoes, and Egg-plants. Well we grow living fruit, the fruit of the spirit, which is what is in God’s Garden.

We can think of our hearts as a Garden, but not just any garden, a Garden of Life. Our Gardens, in our hearts aren’t much different than an earthly garden. Well, what is the difference? Both gardens grow fruit and both need to be taken care of. The difference is in the purpose, the purpose of an earthly garden is for food, or maybe even for a prize at a fair; while the purpose of God’s Garden is to help you go to Heaven.

When Jesus returns, he will harvest our fruit, those with good fruit will go to heaven and they shall feast off their fruit and they will grow more forever. But everyone with no fruit or fruit that the birds and rabbits spoiled, shall have seven years to grow more.

If they still don’t have good fruit, they shall perish. And them, and their fruit, shall be burned. So we should try to spread the word, that no one has to die.

“I am the way the truth and the light.” ” He is the vine, and we are the branches.”
